Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the International Organization for Biological and Integrated Control of Noxious Animals and Plants (IOBC), West Palearctic Regional Section (WPRS) and the Local Organizing Committee, we are pleased to announce the 9th Meeting of the IOBC-WPRS Working Group “Integrated Control of Plant-Feeding Mites” which will be held in Izmir, Türkiye, from September 8th to 11th, 2025.
The meeting will take place at Yasar University campus, offering an ideal setting close to the natural beauty of the region and the vibrant city of Izmir. We expect to welcome a broad range of participants from Europe, the Mediterranean region, and beyond.
The symposium will provide a platform for sharing knowledge and discussing recent advancements in acarology, with a focus on the integrated management of plant-feeding mites. Distinguished scientists from around the world have been invited as speakers to present their latest research findings.
We invite scientists, professionals, and students interested in mites and their management to join us in Izmir. The proposed topics of the meeting include:
· Innovative developments in biological and chemical mite control
· Strategies for integrated management of mite pests
· Biology, ecology, and behavior of predatory mites and their prey, both above and below ground
· Faunistic studies regarding pests and their predators
· Impacts of climate change on mite pest management
